There are numerous colourful and unique tribes that inhabit the Toskal home world. But a few stand out as having evolved fur (or even finger) specific traits that have helped certain Toskals adapt to the world around them. Below are some examples of the trait dominant tribes that have been discovered. But who knows how many more may pop up!

SAKHR
(TRAIT OBTAINED VIA OFFICIAL ADOPTS OR CANONICAL BREEDING)

The Sakhr tribe were the first tribe to be discovered with an unusual (and frankly, quite scruffy looking) but adapted trait. The thick fur that coats their elbows and knees helps to protect from the rugged terrain of their earth-dwelling home and the almost shawl-like fur that covers their shoulders keeps them from freezing whilst occupying their intricate tunnel systems. Often misidentified as simply large grunts, the Sakhr are secretive and fiercely protect their dirt laden home.

GLACIES

Found somewhere in the South pole, Glacies are a tribe of Toskals that have become well adapted to their life on the ice. With very little relief from the harsh constant frost of the Southern pole, the members of Glacies have developed a thick lining of fur on their rump in order to comfortably fish beneath the waters of their frozen home. The near pom-pom looking fluff on their cheeks is also rumoured to help stop their jaw muscles from freezing or becoming too stiff to eat with.

PAHARI

Somewhere in the Toskal world, there lives a peculiar tribe of Toskals. Their curly fur and penchant for artisan goods have given this tribe a unique look and life. The Pahari call the hills their home (quite literally) and take great pride in their near all natural coloured pelts.

HOARFROST

MEILIANDE

Found in the warm north-eastern seas of the Toskal world, the Meiliande tribe reside on an island home. At first glance, they may seem to be merely any average Toskal, but their centuries of ocean dwelling and communing with the sea has had them develop a fleshy membrane of skin between each finger and toe. Making members of the tribe excellent swimmers and expert fisherfolk.
